Warranty

The ninety-day guarantee, in full

Finish a repair with us in Addison and both the fitted component and the labor behind it are guaranteed for ninety days. This page draws the boundary of that guarantee and explains how a claim is opened.

What the guarantee covers

Two things are guaranteed for ninety calendar days: the component installed, and the workmanship of installing it. The period runs from the date printed on your invoice.

Tell us in writing that one of the two has failed inside that period and an inspection is arranged. Should the claim pass inspection, the choice of remedy rests with us — redoing the job, supplying a replacement component, or returning what was paid, for the service and for the part alike.

Where the count begins

Day one is the day the repair finished. Not the day of the call, not the day a part was ordered.

The expiry date is set down on the invoice itself, so neither side has to work it out from memory later on. A photograph of the invoice on a phone is proof enough to open a claim; nothing further is needed.

Outside the guarantee

A second, unrelated fault on the same appliance is treated as fresh work and quoted as such. Beyond that, the following sit outside the cover entirely:

  • Blockages of any description, however they arose
  • Damage traceable to how the appliance was operated
  • Objects that worked their way into a pump, a motor or any other moving assembly
  • Anything cosmetic or non-functional: racks, drums, tubs, baskets, reservoirs, casing, trim, handles, glass, doors with their liners, and the cabinet frame
  • Supply lines serving an appliance, regardless of whether one was replaced or recommended
  • Any machine put to commercial or industrial use
  • Appliances whose manufacturer has ceased producing replacement components

Relocation, and faults that return

Shifting a repaired appliance out of the position it occupied at the time of the visit ends the cover on that work from the moment it is moved.

Cover likewise ends where the original symptom reappears and resolving it would call for the purchase of a new component rather than the correction of something we did.

Customer-supplied parts and outstanding balances

Where you provide a component and ask us to install it, that component carries no guarantee from us; its provenance and age are not something we can verify. The labor of installing it is a separate arrangement, settled when you book.

No claim is processed while any portion of the agreed price remains unpaid.

Opening a claim

Write to us without delay. Give the date shown on the invoice and describe what the appliance is doing at present.

Each claim is inspected and approved before a visit is put in the diary. Once approved, the return visit is scheduled exactly as the first one was, with a date and an arrival window agreed over the phone.
